Sunshine and Stock-judging for the Shire!

Leaving the heatwave and heat behind them three lads from Pembrokeshire headed to Yorshire to represent county and Country at the Great Yorkshire Show. Leading the team was Charles George of Fishguard YFC in the 26 and Under age group with Rhys James Llysyfran and Robbie Reed Griffiths of Llawhaden YFC competing in the 21 and under and 16 and Under categories respectively. Their keen stockmanship and reliable reasons secured the team the red card and top spot in the competition with individual success for Charles winning his category.

Meanwhile closer to home members have been topping up on their stock-judging taking full advantage of a competition run as part of the Cardigan Show. Members took part in dairy, sheep and pig stock-judging with fantastic results. In the Dairy Intermediates section  Poppy Lewis, Llawhaden came 3rd. In the Pig junior section  3rd was Carys Howell Llawhaden whilst in the senior section it was a clean sweep for Pembrokeshire it was a clean sweep for Pembrokeshire with 1st for Betsan Williams Hermon 2nd for  Eleri Gerge Keyston and  3rd for Jac Williams Hermon. The Sheep junior section was won by Caryl Davies Eglwyswrw and  2nd Sara Edwards, Llysyfran. In the senior section 2nd was Jac Williams Hermon and 3rd was Betsan Williams Hermon. A fantastic result once again for the county.
